The colonial American symbol of the pineapple has always intrigued me. Exotic and difficult to grow, they were rented by wealthy people to display in their homes during dinner parties. Pineapples came to symbolize high taste and a host’s concern with providing the best for their guests. Now a symbol of welcoming, it inspires me to create and enjoy the beauty in all of life’s rituals, every day.
