Here are some of my favorite ways to set the table for Thanksgiving. Read on for my perfect mix of old, new, and delicious as I celebrate my favorite holiday.
Some of the constants on my table are these velvet pumpkins, which I collected over the years. I have seen them at various local boutiques, and online, and love them because they are unique, can be reused year after year, and add an assortment of autumn colors in an understated way. I’d love to collect more, but this grouping is working well for me at the moment

Another constant are the https://amzn.to/4eqKqXh individual lanterns that impart a really lovely glow to the table and my dining room. I also use them at Christmas and will put some in other parts of the house at other times of the year for a pretty little vignette. I take a few out to our outdoor table when we host dinner parties and love the effect of the candlelight out there as well. These are so versatile. Mine don’t have the cut crystal shades like those in the link because they weren’t available when I purchased mine, but I love them both equally.
The hurricane lamps down the center of my table are mouth blown from Colonial Williamsburg and are the nicest I have seen. I adore them. Inside are simple candlesticks on top of burgundy leather “spots”, which I also use throughout my home, for adding a little extra decorative touch while also protecting my surfaces. https://shop.colonialwilliamsburg.com/leather-furniture-spots/?srsltid=AfmBOor6ckkPcq1RVAkYgisp_YOdqPXT0ZIdYFcp9WIfvGjCZTrI82Pq
Last year I was gifted this gorgeous set of china from the mother of one of my son’s friends. I absolutely could not love it more and I plan to use it every Thanksgiving forever as it reminds me of our time hosting this boy for the holiday last year and making a lasting friendship with his family, who live across the world. https://amzn.to/40KTpj1
We tend to overdo it in terms of the amount of food for Thanksgiving, but part of that is because the leftovers are well-loved. While my husband and I are checking on the ovens and pouring drinks for our guests, everyone is snacking on the appetizers, which I love to assemble. Two that are in heavy rotation are my pumpkin-shaped baked brie and my crescent roll cornucopia filled with various fruits. Both add a festive and unique touch, serving as delicious decoration
